
Colin Firth won ‘Best Actor’ at last night’s Bafta’s for his performance in Tom Ford’s ‘A Single Man’. Firth plays George, a gay college professor breaking down after his partner dies in a car accident. Firth said of working with the director/fashion designer:
“An encounter with Tom Ford is come away feeling resuscitated a little more worldy, better informed, better groomed, more fragranced and more nominated than one has ever been before.
“What Tom Ford doesn’t know is I have the email in my outbox telling him I could not possibly do this,” Firth said. “I was about to send it when a man came to repair my fridge … so I would like to thank the fridge guy.”
Sounds like the beginning of a porno doesn’t it? Albeit an intellectual one where they converse about Isherwood.
